Just noticed this tweet from Lone Shark Games: "@pbemaddy #repomen asked if there was a puzzle in the task gaps, and instead of saying "no" I implied there might've been. But there isn't."
That was a lot of work for nothing...
Gaps exist between all the numbers. Listed below is the sequence if you find the difference between each number (001 -> 004 = 3, etc)

Possibly, these gap numbers are too large. The number of tasks between 001 and 004 is 2, not 3. Thus, all task numbers that are adjacent result in 0 (zero).
Neither sequence, nor reversing the sequences, are revealing a code with simple letter substitution or through letter frequency analysis. In general, there are too many double letters or repeating patterns for this to be a text message. Although more analysis along those lines may reveal something that was missed.
